Current Trending Interior Design: Chocolate Tones
I think it was all of ten seconds ago I was cringing about how there was a time when we were all painting our rooms brown. And now brown is back and for some reason I find myself loving these shades of brown!
Somehow this room manages to blend a serious, traditional feel with such a playful and casual vibe. The rich brown paired with this fun light fixture is almost too much for me to handle!
When Julia Marcum posted that they were painting their lovely calm white bedroom I remember being sad to see such a beautiful space being changed. Now I look back and feel like it was so boring before. This cozy bedroom is elevated tenfold by the bold hue. I don’t even know how to express how much I love this ceiling!
Above: I am in love with how they are using shades of rust and warm browns together. This room feels like such an experience.
Below: the contrast between the white moldings and the toasty sort of pecan is a triumph. This room feels both light and airy, and moody and grown up. And I stared at the light fixture for maybe five minutes straight.
I am obsessed with these rich velvety browns and the absolute commitment to the colour. None of these designers decided to dip their toes in, they completely went for it and the payoff was HUGE!
These rich tones pair so well with elements of traditional design and I think that is going to give this trend a lot of longevity.
